Rosie the Riveter and the Blue Collar Worker
Well, we still have a ton of work to do, but we actually stepped a foot outside yesterday, to do some food shopping. A girl's gotta eat!!! (or two girls for that matter).
Rosie (Alex):
Hand-me-down shirt and goodwill pants.
A perfectly matching ascot from an antique store in the Poconos, PA. It just screams....well it just screams "aaa!"
The Worker (Becky):
Is that yet another knitted collar? Why, yes it is!!! And nothing says "get to work!" like a disco ball dangling in the middle of your chest. (It's actually an earring I found...where did the pair go?)
The subtle socks are from La Rinascente, a department store in Florence.
Look, we're even getting encouragement to work from the food products we purchased!
Okay, off to work again...We Can Do It!!!!!

We're not Blue collar or White collar, we're PINK collar
Okay, so we've been seeing these everywhere from store windows, to fashion spreads, to fashion blogs:
Anywhoo, we decided that we could just fashion our own!
That's right, Becky knitted us a cute pink collar, that we think can go with anything! This is more of a collar that mimics a detachable collar, rather than a collar that mimics a button-up shirt. Perhaps even more interesting.....plus it's manlier!
So here we goooooooooooo:

ummmm....and pink nails? Overkill?
1 Leandra Medine The Man Repeller 2 Jennine Jacob The Coveted 3 Eleven Objects 4 Topshop 5 Miu Miu
Now, we don't necessarily follow trends, but when we started seeing this one we were particularly excited - as we love to wear button up shirts under various shirts/sweaters. We also don't wear much jewelry - so this seemed like a good median between accessory and apparel. What we found, however, was that these are WAY out of our price range - from Eleven Objects (all above $160), to Miu Miu (self-explanatory), to even the "cheaper" Topshop collars (that go for $64).Anywhoo, we decided that we could just fashion our own!

And who wouldn't want some pink earrings (made by Alex) to go with that chouette pink collar?
