We're not Blue collar or White collar, we're PINK collar

Okay, so we've been seeing these everywhere from store windows, to fashion spreads, to fashion blogs:

1 Leandra Medine The Man Repeller 2 Jennine Jacob The Coveted 3 Eleven Objects 4 Topshop 5 Miu Miu
Now, we don't necessarily follow trends, but when we started seeing this one we were particularly excited - as we love to wear button up shirts under various shirts/sweaters. We also don't wear much jewelry - so this seemed like a good median between accessory and apparel. What we found, however, was that these are WAY out of our price range - from Eleven Objects (all above $160), to Miu Miu (self-explanatory), to even the "cheaper" Topshop collars (that go for $64).

Anywhoo, we decided that we could just fashion our own!

That's right, Becky knitted us a cute pink collar, that we think can go with anything! This is more of a collar that mimics a detachable collar, rather than a collar that mimics a button-up shirt. Perhaps even more interesting.....plus it's manlier!

So here we goooooooooooo:

And who wouldn't want some pink earrings (made by Alex) to go with that chouette pink collar?

ummmm....and pink nails? Overkill?

Just a bunch of walking suits

The Lex:

Yes, those are socks with sandals (I am trying to look like a German tourist).

Suit Jacket: Jones New York, from Housing Works - a great thrift store in NYC which is attached to the Housing Works bookstore/cafe. It has sexxy long slits down each side, shoulder pads, and magnificent buttons (or knobs). I purchased this for a whopping 50¢ !!!! No, I didn't make a mistake - and it took me a while to find out how to get this "¢ " sign.

The Bex:

Lex:"What you lookin' for there Bex?"

Bex:"Looking for my pantaloons"

The suit jacket is another great thrift store find! Got it on Long Island in Port Jefferson at Not Too Shabby - and let me tell ya - this place is not too shabby! I payed only $5 for this thang. I also snagged a long red Givenchy trench for $20 there.

The pink button up is from the Santo Spirito flea market - 2 euro!

The shorts you might have noticed - although all this pink might have overwhelmed your eyes - are actually not shorts at all. It's a bodysuit for dancing. Extremely soft, durable, and warm (perfect for the summer).

Black and White Cookie

Cookie side 1:

Paisley headscarf, thin snake-skin  belt, nude wedges, "That Way?"earring made by cookie side 1 herself

Cookie side 2:

When you squeeze my waist, my mouth opens (it's a biological fact).

Vardidress (Vest-Cardigan-Dress) from H&M - don't know how we found this, but it was only 5 euro. Pants from Patafisic, and shoes from Nine West (completely destroyed later that day after extensive dancing in a field - with a bunch of intoxicated Italians).

alla prossima!
